The Registration of MANGCON 2008 is Open NOW!

Semarang, Central Java. After Mangrove REpLaNT 2008 and Mangrove Restoration (MANGRES) 2008, KeSEMaT will conduct its another mangrove program called Mangrove Conservation (MANCON) 2008: Campaign and Plantation of Mangrove and Coastal Clean Up Program (CCUP). This program has aims to give mangrove and recycling information to student and community.

Actually, MANGCON 2008 has been conducted in the last of July until early Augustus 2008. It has many activities such as mangrove campaign and recycling by KeSEMaT and NGO BINTARI to five high schools in Semarang i.e. Nautical School, SMA Sultan Agung, SMK Texmaco, SMA Al Fattah and SMA Perdana. Mangrove plantation and coastal clean up is the main program will held in SMA Sultan Agung on Augustus, 9 2008.

It will followed by many stake holder in Semarang and attended by Walikota. MANGCON 2008 - CCUP is organized by KeSEMaT, Departement of Marine and Fisheries (DKP) of Semarang and NGO BINTARI.

Requirements

KeSEMaT gives opportunity to people in around the globe to join on MANGCON 2008 as volunteer. You will work together with KeSEMaTERS to do many activities such as (1) seeds distribution, (2) mangrove campaign to schools, (3) seeds plantation and (4) maintenance program.

Facility

MANGCON 2008 is free. Unfortunately, KeSEMaT just need 30 volunteers. KeSEMaT will covers their lunch, drink, snack and also give them certificate. It will given by KeSEMaT to the volunteer who follows two activities, minimally.
